“Bless the Lord all winds that blow…
scorching wind and bitter cold…
bless the Lord you nights and days…
bless the Lord you frost and snow.”
– Benedicite

I want to flow it out today,
pour into a blowing haze
chill against a muffled glaze
and all you bring is stay.

into a world run done and do,
girded up and setting to,
I wonder slipping past me you,
how you keep us through.

wind against a holding pane,
frost on cheek and waking gaze,
close into a candled day,
not return, but stay.

bless our way, you wind and snow,
bless our way, you sun and moon,
bless our warming and our cold,
bless our turning into home.
